Jean LARTEGUY

Print
Yellow Fever describes the end of the French presence in Indochina following the Geneva Convention. Lartéguy takes us from Hanoi, which becomes a communist city, both gloomy and puritan, to Saigon, more American-like with its wheeling and dealing.

A beautiful novel that is nostalgic over the past of French Indochina yet lucid about its future.
Biography
Jean Lartéguy (1920-2011) was, after a brief military career, a novelist with about 50 published works and a journalist for Paris Match.
